Today

Today Samantha just looked so cute in her little pants from our neighbor Tim, and her little layered look, that we had to take some pictures. We bought her a new tummy time mat, which she dislikes as much as every other type of tummy time device. ;-) And Dave put up the tree and decorations. Samantha seems to really like the lights on the tree.

Meeting the "other" Grandparents

Samantha finally met the Solbergs. If you don't know, Ms. Solberg is a wonderful photographer, so she took pictures of Samantha during our visit. Unfortunately, I didn't take one picture of them with Samantha. Hopefully we'll see them at Christmas, and I'll take some then. Here are the pictures from Father and Florence's (Ms. Solberg's parents) house. I'll title them as Ms. Solberg had. #1 Samantha in hat. #2 Samantha - take off this hat. #3 Samantha. #4 Samantha and Great-Grandad Voelker. #5 Shel and Samantha. #6 Samantha - head up. #7 Samantha in dress

More Thanksgiving trip pictures

More Thanksgiving visit pictures. Samantha and Grandma and Mrs. Mangan, Samantha and Grandma and Great Aunt Joyce, Samantha with Uncle Jim (whom she LOVED talking with) and Samantha and Grandma (who was not happy I kept taking pictures in the morning.) We are hoping to go back for Christmas, if the Buffalo weather holds up.

Thanksgiving 2007

We went to Buffalo for Thanksgiving, where Samantha got to meet more family members. The first is a picture of two of Samantha's cousins, Jack and Conor, enjoying their evening drink. Next is a picture of Dave's Mom with most of her Grandchildren, plus a Grandnephew and Grandniece. I think Samantha was a bit overwhelmed. Luckily she got the prized spot on Grandma's lap. The next picture is Samantha with Dave's other daughter, Kierstin. We had a great time, and Samantha was wonderful.

More cute clothes

Another great outfit from a co-worker. We love the little Baby Adidas outfits we got from Rip and his family.

Samantha loves her wrap

As you can see, Granny, Samantha loves being in her wrap. ;-) And I get both arms free to do other things, like shop for more cute baby things!

New toy from the Barnhart's

Althougth Samantha hasn't quite figured out that her hands are her hands to command, she seems to enjoy this new portable bouncy chair/toy quite a lot, so we thank the Barnhart's for it.

New fashion

A friend of mine at work told me to layer Samantha's onesies, since the cute ones are often short-sleeved, so we tried it out yesterday and we think it looks cool.

A close up

We're still waiting to see how red her hair is going to be...

Matching Samantha and Granny

I just happened to look at Mom as she was holding Samantha, and see they had the same colors on.

In trouble with Granny

Mom emailed last night and insisted I get new pictures on the blog, since babies change so much when they're young. As I compare pictures of Samantha over the past two months, I can see she's right (as usual). These are just a couple of quick shots of Samantha as she was relaxing next to me while her Daddy and I ate dinner. I can't bear to be apart from her once we get home, since I have to spend so much of the day away from her. Yet, I know I'm lucky because I am able to be with her during the workday also. Anyway, I will do better to get more pictures on here, on a more regular basis.

2 months old

Well it's turned cold enough for the big wooly carseat cover. Here's Samantha all bundled up on her way to daycare, on her 2 month birthday.

Auntie Nan's vest

Samantha's great-Auntie Nan made this little purple vest for Samantha. What a surprise to receive this in the mail, hand-made with love.

Samantha with toy

Samantha found herself in the mirror of this toy. She was quite excited and wanted to touch the pretty baby in the mirror.

Catching Up

With everyone gone, I am finally sitting down and looking at all the pictures that have been taken of Samantha during the past 2 months. So, this will be the catch-up session. The first picture is Aunt Mare with Samantha, the second is Grandma and Aunt Kate, and the third is Uncle John, Mare's husband with Granny in the background.

Samantha's first smile

Well things are great here with Samantha. Granny and Grandad leave today to return to Shetland, so we'll see how things are once they've left. They've been such a help. Hopefully Dave and I can manage on our own! This picture is blurry but it's the first time we captured Samantha's smile on camera. She has been smiling and cooing plenty since this first smile. More pictures soon.

Samantha 1 month

Here are alot of pictures from Samantha's one month day. She is more alert and more awake now, so we've been finding activities to do with her, like reading books her Aunt Molly and Uncle Jim got her, and spending time swinging and playing on the ground. We've finally all been able to put her down and let her nap now. It was hard....we'd all rather hold her constantly!
